McCall 5845

I had tea again at The Mandarin Oriental with the ladies church group that I am in. There are about 12 of us but only a few could make the tea. They are a great group of women. Very positive.

Fabric used: Black, yellow and white printed cotton from Joanns. I think it was from their Cosmopolitan line. It was a good weight, easy to work with and I probably could of gotten away without lining it if I wanted to.

Complexity of pattern: Advanced Beginner probably..it wasn't difficult. I did the hem and slit in in the back a little different and easier than the directions.

How long did it take to complete: About 7 hours

Overall Review: I absolutely LOVE how this dress turned out. It fits really well. I really like the back of the dress and the bow tie belt. I am giving it a 8 out of 10.

The print of the pattern is really nice. You guys look nice in the pix as well. I like how you keep it simple but sophisticated.

I am so loving this pattern and the dress is so lady like with a dash of sexy (the back) just enough. I love Erica B. choice of fabric too. I will be putting this pattern on my list. Great job!!!!

That dress is awesome. I love the fabric.

You have a great blog. I'd love for you to come and visit my blog. I just made a Vintage Vogue Original 1944 Design, V2858. On the previous page you'll find a dress I made from an original 1974 pattern that I found in an antique store. I call that post The Lady in Lavender. And lots of other things in between. Hope you enjoy.
